StartSprint is a fast-growing educational assessment platform helping teachers and school leaders understand how their students think under pressure. We are expanding across Africa, and we need a sharp, creative Content & Community Growth Specialist to help us tell that story.
You will work closely with the founding team to build our voice, grow our community, and establish StartSprint as the go-to platform for progressive educators in Ghana, Nigeria, and beyond. This is a high-ownership role — you will shape how millions of teachers hear about us.
What you will do
- Create and publish high-quality educational content across social media, email, and the StartSprint blog
- Build and manage a growing community of teachers and school leaders across WhatsApp, LinkedIn, and X (Twitter)
- Research and identify education influencers, teacher networks, and partnership opportunities in Ghana and Nigeria
- Run outreach campaigns to teacher communities, education NGOs, and school networks
- Track content performance and community growth metrics, reporting weekly to the founding team
- Collaborate on product feedback loops — capturing what teachers want and feeding insights back into product development
- Create short-form video content and graphics optimised for African education audiences
- Manage the StartSprint Educator Fellows programme — recruiting, supporting, and spotlighting fellows
What we are looking for
- Based in Ghana or Nigeria with deep knowledge of the local education landscape
- Strong writing and communication skills — you can explain complex ideas simply and compellingly
- Experience managing social media accounts with a proven track record of organic growth
- Understanding of what motivates teachers and school leaders in West Africa
- Self-starter who thrives in an early-stage, fast-moving environment
- Comfortable using tools like Canva, Notion, and scheduling platforms
Nice to have
- Experience in EdTech, education journalism, or a teaching background
- Existing network within Ghanaian or Nigerian teacher communities
- Experience with email marketing or community newsletter management
- Video editing skills for short-form social content
- Understanding of education policy in Ghana or Nigeria
